2. Kansas City Zoo
Spring is one of the best times to visit the Kansas City Zoo, as it’s before the temperatures get too hot and the animals start hiding in shady spots all day! Take a day to go visit the zoo and see all of the fantastic creatures that nature has to offer.

5. Parade of Hearts
With a kickoff on April 27, The Parade of Hearts is a celebration of the heartland that features 5-foot by 5-foot hearts designed by local artists spread throughout the city. The artists were given creative license to design hearts that speak to causes close to their hearts. Make it your mission to see as many as you can before they disappear!
